(AURORA, Co. - SHOT 4/20/2005) An Aurora police officer who is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer has filed a complaint with the city after a captain yanked a baseball cap and a wig off her head. Officer Rebecca Brewster (far left) filed the complaint with the city's equal employment opportunity office after the alleged incident with Capt. Parris Bradley. The 11-year police veteran has since asked for assault charges to be brought against Bradley, but nothing had been filed against him by early Wednesday. Brewster works three days a week off-duty at the Aurora Public Schools Alternative Center, a last chance school for troubled kids. She said the incident was humiliating to her and said few people have seen her with her hat off since losing her hair due to chemotherapy. Brewster was talking with middle school teacher Scott Parsons (center) of Denver as sixth grader Paris Taylor, 11, of Aurora listens on Wednesday. The two were talking about another student that had to be sent home that day. (Photo by MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
