The City of Denver tooted its own horn today as the Mayor officially re-opened Ferril Lake and areas in and around City Park Thursday June 28, 2007. They also proclaimed the day "City Park Day" in Denver and capped off the ceremony by turning on the electric fountain in the lake. The lake has been under construction as part of the Montclair Storm Drainage Project, an improvement project that solves major storm water issues in the neighborhood and restores the areas historic integrity. The estimated cost of the project is $28 million. Crews are putting on the finishes touches around the lake. (PHOTO/ DENNIS SCHROEDER/ ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) **
