Construction workers, Eduardo Abarca, cq, Fermin Piceno, cq, and Agustin Gilva, cq, (lt-rt) install an exhaust hole in the side of the new dome sanctuary of the Mile High Church. Holes were cut to vent exhaust fumes for machines inside the dome, that will be used to finish the interior structure. The Mile High Church, 9077 W Alameda in Lakewood, held a "Pump It Up" ceremony Wednesday June 27, 2007 to kick off the inflation process of their new 44,000 square foot dome sanctuary. The dome is 60 feet tall with a diameter of 232 feet. The church's new dome will become the largest monolithic dome structure. (AHMAD TERRY /ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
