Boulder County Sheriff's deputies are investigating multiple instances of Criminal Tampering and Ethnic Intimidation that were perpetrated in the Palo Park subdivision on the northern fringe of Boulder early Monday morning, March 28th. Deputies were notified by victims that their cars had been "labeled" with adhesive stickers which bore racial epithets, swastikas, and white power slogans between 2:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.. A total of 13 cars were found to have been tampered with. The labels, which appeared to be common office-type adhesive labels measuring approximately 8"x5", were crudely hand-lettered with a black marker. They were affixed to the hood and doors of vehicles parked on the street in the subdivision. It did not appear that the vehicles of specific individuals were targeted so much as the cars were simply targets of opportunity. (photo provided by Boulder County Sheriff's office)
