(3/28/05, Longmont, CO) Roger A. Pielke Sr., Professor and State Climatologist at the Department of Atmospheric Science for Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, says that climate change is a much more complicated issue than CO2 emissions. He says that many different factors effect weather patterns such as aerosol emissions, land use changes (deforestation), sulphur emissions, and nitrogen deposition. He feels that these other factors need to be added into the climate change models to be able to determine how the weather patterns will change rather then studying CO2 as the lone culprit.
