{Denver, Colorado. March 28, 2005}. Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey (cq Mitch Morrissey), holds a press conference in the Webb building in Denver on March 28, 2005 to answer questions about the Colorado Supreme Court's decision earlier in the day to overturn the felony murder conviction for Lisl Auman, who was sentenced to life without parole for the death of Denver police officer Bruce VanderJagt (cq Bruce VanderJagt), who was shot to death by Matthaus Jaehnig (CQ Matthaus Jaehnig according to past RMN stories), on November 12, 1997 in Denver. The board behind him shows the technicality in Jury Instruction #32 that led to the decision, where number 4 should have been numbered 3(d) instead, so that the word "Knowingly" would have applied to "without authorization, or by deception, and", which changes its meaning.
