(Center, Colo., May 20, 2004) In the San Luis Valley, the poorest county in Colorado no one goes without primary care thanks to a huge federal grant and an altruistic group of heath care professionals who founded Valley Wide Health Care Clinics. There are 7 clincs in the valley, the Cesar Chavez Family Medical Center is the newest one. Here Laura Morales, a PAC has the opportunity to get to know her patients like Leticia Andrade who is a migrant worker. "They all need a little TLC", she said for those working away from home depression and lonliness is a cause for some of the visits. "I love working with the migrants. I've always wanted to do things for those who haven't had much luck in life and are left behind by our health care system." (Photo by: Linda McConnell/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
