Snow Plow operator Doug Grice clears snow on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park Monday morning May 15, 2006. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved highway in the United States reaching an elevation of 12,183 feet. Completed in 1932 the road connects the communities of Estes Park and Grand Lake, Colo. Plow operators from the west side of the park and the east side of the park start clearing snow in April and move along the road and eventually meet up at the Alpine Visitor Center.
