Maggie Ryan first entered the St. Clara orphanage when she was 12 years old, after the death of her mother. Now, Sister Maggie Ryan, she still lives on the site of the orphanage which was demolished in 1967. The Franciscan nun is now considered the matriarch of Francis Heights, Senior Residential living, low income and senior residence, where she provides motherly and sisterly advice to the people who have no family. **(sheeler notes on assignment)** (Photo by STEVEN R.
