(BORREGO PASS, NEW MEXICO JANUARY 6, 2005) (Far Lt. to Rt.) Felicia Wally, 19, and sister Rhonda Wally, 22, drove eight miles to the closest phone line at the Borrego Pass Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation in Borrego Pass, New Mexico Thursday January 7, 2005. The sisiters needed the phone to make doctor appointments. Many people on the reservation can't afford the thousands of dollars for a landline. Sacred Wind Communications is working on a project to bring phone service onto the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico and Arizona. The fixed wireless Service on the reservation is scheduled to begin in November of 2005. (Photo By MARIA J. AVILA/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
