LAKEWOOD, COLO. 6/27/04 Debra Davidson, a former Denver sheriff's deputy was killed by her boyfriend in 1999. Her killer, Donald Wager, had a long history of domestic violence and many chances for intervention with the system prior to his even meeting Davidson. He is an example of how ineffective the system can be at handling repeat offenders. Wager is currently serving 65 years for For her children, the 5 years has not lessen the pain of their lose.
