(CANON CITY, Colo., January 21, 2005) Cisco, yellow palamino, left of frame behind rear view mirror, Radar, burro in center with ears up, shorter of the animals, and Cinch, sorrel, at right, all come up to the car window as if asking for a ride. These are wild acquired and trained, they are utilized by workers within the wild horse program. Radar, the burro, is a mascot of sorts, very photogenic, and personable according to Brian Hardin. They are kept in an adjacent pen to the wild horses up for adoption. These wild horses are all adobtable mares ages 2-5 occupying a pen on Department of Corrections property. They are from Wyoming. This is all part of the Colorado Correctional Industries Wild Horse Inmate Program. The next adoption is Friday January 29, 2005. This information according to Brian Hardin, 719-269-5305.
