Yang, of Westminster, was murdered while collecting aluminum cans at an apartment complex near I-70 and North Pecos Street last Friday. The Shaman spiritual guide, Xiong, recites songs and chants to help Yang find her way through the spiritual world from Colorado to her birthplace in Laos. Yang's funeral will be held everyday throughout the weekend concluding Monday with an oral history of Yang's life and the playing of ritual instruments by Shaman musicians called Txiv Qeej. The Txiv Qeej musicians play a series of ritual songs intent on leading the spirit to the after life.
