(5/5/05, Denver, CO) For the past six years, Dan Medina has been the community liason for Lincoln High School. He is from the neighborhood around the school, has had two children graduate from there, two in school there right now, and two on their way. When her first arrived, gangs controlled the hallways and dealers sold drugs openly inside the building. They have turned the school around 180 degrees. Language Arts teacher Michelle Thacker tells Dan that she has no idea where a missing student has been. She has tried to call her home, but was told that she did not live there. Dan needs to find her to take the ACT test and to find out why she has been absent. (PHOTO BY JUDY WALGREN, ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
