(ARVADA, Colo., January 18, 2005) An Arvada firefighter works to contain spotfires. The area blackened encompasses the foreground and all the way up the hillside. Firefighters work to control a large brushfire in Pattridge Park near the town of Leyden, CO. The fire was called to Jefferson County officials at 12:50 pm. It was initially described as a fast moving brush fire 4-5 miles long and 2 miles wide encompassing about 70 acres. It started about Highway 93 at and east at Highway 82 heading toward Leyden from Unincorporated Jefferson County, thru Arvada.
