(Denver, Colorado. April 13, 2005)Tom Ledgerwood (cq Tom Ledgerwood) of Denver unloads one of over 650 trees on April 13, 2005 from a truck that will be sold to the public at Washington Park at The Park People's annual "Denver Digs Trees" sale on Saturday April 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30. am. More than 20 varieties, and over 2800 trees will be on sale at six sites around Denver. About 1200 of them are designated for public right-of-ways, such as the park strip area between the sidewalk and the street in front of houses, and will be sold for $20.00 each, and the rest can be used for backyards, and are priced at $45.00 and $65.00. The sale will raise funds for the Park People, a non-profit group that works to increase the number of trees in Denver.
