(PHOENIX, Ariz., SHOT 12/15/04) Susan Olson, 56, retired from U.S. West (now Qwest) in 1998 after working there for 30 years and has seen her health insurance go from having to pay nothing to about $200 a month this past year and will jump to nearly $300 a month this coming year. Olson is among a group of retirees that rely upon their former employers' healthcare coverage until medicare kicks in at 65 years of age. Olson lays back onto an adjustment table under the supervision of Dr. Robert Gear at the Gear Clinic in Phoenix recently. The naturopathic adjustment sessions, similar to a chiropractic session, are covered by Olson's insurance although she does make a co-pay on each session. She said she suffers from shoulder and neck pain because of a previous surgery. (Photo By MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
