(PHOENIX, Ariz., SHOT 12/15/04) Susan Olson, 56, retired from U.S. West (now Qwest) in 1998 after working there for 30 years and has seen her health insurance go from having to pay nothing to about $200 a month this past year and will jump to nearly $300 a month this coming year. Olson is among a group of retirees that rely upon their former employers' healthcare coverage until medicare kicks in at 65 years of age. Olson unpacks and looks over some of the various prescription medicines she receives through the mail each month for her and her husband. She takes numerous medications for a number of conditions.
