(Washington D.C. - SHOT 5/27/2004) Seeking advice from a veteran, U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Wiley (right, he didn't want to give his first name), 19, of Hot Springs, Ark. talks with Floyd Hesse, 87, of Red Lake Falls, Minn. Thursday at the National World War II Memorial. Wiley was concerned about how he would react in the face of danger once he is deployed to Iraq next week and was seeking the advice of Hesse who served in the U.S. Army Infantry on Guam in World War II. A group of about 100 Colorado veterans that served in World War II have traveled to Washington D.C. for Saturday's dedication ceremony of the National World War II Memorial. The memorial, nearly 60 years in the making, is located between the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial and honors the 16 million who served and 400,000 who gave their lives in the war.
