(DENVER, Co., SHOT 9/30/2004) Silver Creek High School's Bryan Gonzalez (center), 16, a junior strting tackle on the team joins with teammates to touch a screw on the bus frame as they cross a set of train tracks on the bus ride to Northridge High School for that evening's game. The repeat the process at every train track crossing because they superstitiously believe that it brings them good luck for the upcoming game. Silver Creek is a four year old school in Longmont that was placed in the competitive Tri-Valley League with powerhouses like Niwot, Berthoud and Northridge, schools with a football tradition and history of winning. Silver Creek won Thursday night's game in a tight battle 12-7 giving them a leg up in the battle for postseason play in their league. They are now 3-2 on the season and 3-1 in conference.
