(DILLON Colo.,September 29, 2004) Every year I go up to the mountains to shoot the Aspens. Before I go people ask my what Im going to do this year to make it different, The best thing to do is just pick a general area and go with an open mind. I went to Dillon Reservoir this year because I heard the Aspen looked great. Getting there before the sun came up; I was waiting in a campground near the lake. When the sun came up I noticed this glow of Aspens amoung other trees. I took a reading off the bright colors, this made the tree trunks become solid black. I used my Nikon D2-H and my 70-200 nikon zoom. My ISO was at 200 with a shutter speed of 250 and an f/stop of 5/6 (Photo by KEN PAPALEO/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
