Despite being 60 and having a heart murmur, Szwedko moves quickly while hiking to high-altitude snowfields. Says friend and fellow ski streak Jim Becia: “He’s like a mountain goat. What takes him 25 minutes probably would take me an hour.” For Tracks story about backcountry skiers who relentlessly pursue skiable snowfields in June, July and August.
