I was sent to the Sand Dune National Monument the day that it was converted into a National Park. We missed the ceremony, so I just shot beautiful images of the dunes at sunset. But having lived in Taos, I knew that early morning light is always gorgeous, as well. I was staying at the lodge right at the entrance to the park, so I was able to get up at 5:30 am and drive to the pull off just as you get into the park. At sunrise, I shot this photo with a Nikon D2H, (lens ????? need to see the image - some are wide some are long) lens at f.8, 30th of a second - 400 asa on digital.
