Clifton, Colo.-September 7,2004- A large Black Bear made himself at home high up an Oak tree in unincorporated Clifton on Tuesday (9-7-04). The bear was spotted going through garbage cans at the nearby Applewood Trailor Park and ran to the big Oak Tree after being chased away by barking dogs. Colorado Division of Wildlife officials decided to let the Bear remain in the tree hoping he will climb down and be on his way after dark. (George Kochaniec, Jr./Rocky Mountain News)
