(LAKEWOOD, Colo., April 27, 2004) Jason Vaz tries out the FATS ( Firearms Training Simulator) at an open house of The Office of Federal Protective Service ( FPS) at the Federal Center in Lakewood. The simulator trains officers to react in deadly fire confrontations. FPS is a division of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E>) which was established in March 2003, as part of the Department of Homeland Security. I.C.E. is the nations second largest investigative agency, bringing together more than 20,000 employees focused on enforcing the law and investigating homeland security crimes.
