Aspens burst into color surrounding a weathered barn on road leading up to the Grays Peak Trailhead in the Arapaho National Forest in Clear Creek County Monday morning September 17, 2007. (This shot is looking north) The cold weather has the aspen trees bursting in color from greens, to reds to golds. This is a perfect time to view the annual change of Colorado's high country foliage and trees. Summer comes to an end this week and autumn is only visible for a few weeks before snow paints a winter scene on the high country. (PHOTO/ DENNIS SCHROEDER/ ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) **
