Denver Police are investigating the death of a seven-year-old boy that occurred in Southeast Denver. On Sunday, May 6, 2007 at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 Block of South Tamarac Street, #D-302 to cover an ambulance on an adolescent in cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, the officers observed a juvenile male suffering from what appeared to be malnutrition. The child was transported to Swedish Medical Center where the child was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:45 p.m. As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested in relation to the death. Jon Phillips (2-1-1981) and Sarah Berry (5-31-1985) are being held for Investigation of Homicide. When the investigation is completed, detectives will present the findings to the Denver District Attorney's Office for review and consideration of formal charges.
