They were among about 1,400 sixth and seventh grade girls that participated in the event which featured 50 interactive workshops dealing with a wide variety of scientific fields ranging from biology to robotics. The event is initiated by the Rocky Mountain Section of the Society of Women Engineers with the intent of encouraging girls to pursue careers and interests in science, technology, engineering and math.
