(DENVER, Colo., August 5 2004) Sherri Carrasco, standing left of frame in white sleeveless shirt with Rita Lopez, laying in her chair, face through the tree branches. Sherri is residential coordinator and Rita is a resident. They were both listening during the press conference. Rita, however, was excitedly stimulated to look and smile at all the surrounding smells and stimulations. **(verification from Sherri confirms all residents in attendance are photo approved) The Sensory Garden of Denver Botanic Gardens located in the courtyard of the Morrison Center officially reopened after rennovations. Visitors of the Wheatridge Regional Center toured the gardens. The facility services the needs of people with a wide range of developmental disabilities. For the past several years the American Horticultural Therapy Association has been working on rennovations with a goal to make this a relaxing and theraputic example of garden accessibilty.
