Nathan Wilkes (cq) speaks Monday February 26, 2007, to scores of health care consumers at the state capitol, urging lawmakers to tackle Colorado's health care crisis. His son Thomas, is a hemophiliac and has experienced over $700,000 in health care expenses and is quickly approaching the families million dollar cap. Members of over 50 health care advocacy organizations, including the American Diabetes Association, Colorado Children's Campaign, Colorado Consumer Health Initiative and the Colorado Progressive Coalition, participated in the Health Care Day of Action at the state capitol encouraging state leaders to identify ways to increase access, improve quality and address rising health care costs.
