(DENVER, Colo., Aug 3, 2004) Renee St. Jean, Amanda Welsh and Kaitlyn Roy haul their musical equipment back to the trailer after their competition. The three compete on the all girl team called The Bandettes. They are from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. They are billed as the only all girl competitive drum corps in the world. "This is what you have to do when you are a small corps," said one passing assisting parent regarding the hauling without aid of a trailer or cart. Today is Division II and III preliminaries at the Drum Corps International 2004 World Championships. It takes place August 3-7 at All City Stadium adjacent to South High School. The Grand Finals begin at 11am Saturday. (Photo by STEVEN R. NICKERSON / ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
