COLD CASE SEX OFFENDER GETS MAXIMUM PRISON TIME A serial rapist who preyed upon older women has been sentenced to 48 years in prison today, the maximum amount of prison time possible under the terms of a guilty plea agreement, and he will most likely spend the rest of his life in the Department of Corrections. Blias Reddin (dob: 03-23-65) pleaded guilty late last year to two counts of first-degree sexual assault in connection with a series of attacks that had gone unsolved until Denver's Cold Case Project linked him to the investigation. He also pleaded guilty earlier to a separate count of second-degree sexual assault in another case. Reddin viciously assaulted an 84-year-old woman in her home in May 1994. He then broke into the home of a 56-year-old woman twice, in June and August 1994, sexually assaulting her both times. Investigators at the time exhausted all leads without identifying a suspect.
