DLM00051 Jason Shimkos uses a chain-saw to cut through a branch after a large part of the maple tree in his front yard snapped from the weight of the snow and came crashing down in the Park Hill neighborhood in Denver, Colo. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006. Thursday morning's heavy, wet snow damaged many trees across the Front Range, partly because many of them hads not yet lost their leaves which collected the snow until the weight was too much for the branches to bear. The forcast calls for snow totals in the Denver area to reach between four to eight inches by Thursday evening. (DARIN MCGREGOR/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) **Jason Shimkos (cq)
