DLM00027 Dave Lopez, 61, knocks the heavy snow from the tree in his front yard in hopes of keeping the branches from breaking and damaging the tree and his property in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver, Colorado after this season's first heavy snowfall along the front range Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006. Many trees in the Park Hill area were damaged by Thursday morning's wet, heavy snow. Lopez said he was worried because usually by now the leaves have fallen off the tree, but with them still there collecting the snow it put a lot of weight on the brittle branches. The forcast calls for snow totals in the Denver area to reach between four to eight inches by Thursday evening. (DARIN MCGREGOR/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) **Dave Lopez (cq)
