A photo caption on Page News 26 Friday should have said that Nursing Director B.J. Gilmore of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center testified against Senate Bill 10, a proposal to require hospitals to develop nurse-to-patient staffing plans. Nursing Director and RN, B.J. Gilmore (cq) holds the hand of a new patient in the Emergency Dept. at Presbyterian St. Luke Thursday, February 1, 2007 in Denver, Colo. "I'm a nurse and that's why I'm here," says Gilmore. Gilmore testified at the legislature against SB 10 later Thursday afternoon. As a nurse for 30 years and a director for the last 13 years, she doesn't see it as necessary. The bill would mandate a specific nurse/patient ratio in all Colorado hospitals. (LINDA McCONNELL/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) ** B.J. Gilmore
