CHEYENNE, Wyoming, July 22,, 2004)Whit Kitchens,4, Mullin, Texas, takes practice time seriously. His parents were adjacent watching the events and he was roping a stationary practice steer. He has been roping for a long time according to him. Tie Down Roping qualifying event was the draw today to the Frontier Park stadium grounds. Over 180 cowboys looking to make it to the rounds where people actually watch and money is paid, competed today in a two round timed event chasing a calf on a horse securing it with a rope then tying its legs together. The top placings move on. Cheyenne Frontier days, billed as the "Daddy of 'em All" according to the program brochure, starts tomorrow, July 23 running daily until August 1. (Photo by: STEVEN R.
