Team Canada snow sculptors Walt Farr (top left) and Doug Bisson (right), both of Ontario, takes a few measurements before removing a chunk of snow as the 17th Budweiser Select International Snow Sculpture Championships got under way Tuesday January 23, in Breckenridge. Fourteen teams from five foreign countries and nine teams from across the United States have 65 hours to transform their 12 foot tall and 20 ton heavy block of man-made snow into a work of art before this Saturday's judging. The sculptures will remain on display in Breckenridge until Sunday February 4, 2007 weather permitting. They were working on a human hand holding an origami squirrel.
