Colorado State Patrol Trooper Robert Riley (cq) ,right, was the first person on the scene after a car fell into Clear Creek after crashing down an embankment on Highway 6 between CO 119 and CO 58 Tuesday January 23,2007. Riley, along with Troopers Deborah Bristol (cq) and Steve Shuback (cq) (l to r in background) ,helped smash the rear window of the car, cut the seat belts off the couple, then pulled them out of the car through the drivers side window. The Colorado State Patrol said an 86 year-old driver crashed his Oldsmobile Cutlass down the 75-foot embankment. Troopers rescued the driver and his 90 year-old wife and they were transported in an ambulance to St. Anthony Central.
