Master timber framers Uwe Schreple, left, and Helmut Elbs, from Germany, secure a beam in place during day three of the assembly of a house in Fourmile Canyon in Boulder on January 5, 2007. The men wear traditional German craftsman clothing to indicate that they are "zimmermen," or master framers. Story is about large, incredibly well-built homes shipped in from Germany because they have much higher energy-efficiency standards over there (thicker glass and walls, etc) and their craftsmanship is very high quality. The whole assembly should take 4-5 days. (ELLEN JASKOL/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) *** Uwe Schreple and Helmut Elbs (Maryanne Bruno)
