(DLM8484) - Dean Moody, left, talks with an attendant at the Jefferson County Human Services Building about the state of his granddaughter's application for foodstamps in Golden, Colo., Wed. Jan. 17, 2007. Moody was frustrated Wednesday because he and his 19-year-old granddaughter had filled out a form quite some time ago authorizing him to be her representative so he could help her figure out with the process of getting foodstamps. She is a single mom who makes only $7.25 an hour. The attendant could not verify through the computer system that the proper forms had been filed for him to do so, but acknowledged that just because it was not in the computer that it had not necessarily mean that it was not somewhere in her file. So he was given another form to fill out. "It's frustrating," Moody said. "At every turn there is a snag." (DARIN MCGREGOR/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) **Dean Moody (cq)
