Jo Fleming (cq) of Aurora holds a picture from about 2001 of her son, Michael Fleming, with the rest of his family including wife Luanne, son Jason and daughter Leah, as she poses for a portrait in her Aurora home Wednesday January 3, 2007. Jo Fleming said she watched as her son declined into mental illness eventually being arrested for violating a restraining order against him by his wife Luanne. He was later treated with a mix of psychiatric drugs that would end up killing him. She said, "it was a terrible thing to watch, he was my oldest son (of four children)". She said she hopes his story can change the way people with mental illness are treated saying, "I know he wasn't the only one in there (prison) with a mental illness".
