Amendment 44 campaign manager Mason Tvert held a press conference immediately after a press conference held by Jeffrey D. Sweetin (cq), Special Agent in Charge of the Rocky Mountain Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration and Mitchell R. Morrissey (cq), District Attorney for the City and County of Denver held a press conference in the Drug Enforcement Administration building on Thursday, October 19th, to announce the results of a complex marijuana distribution ring investigation that led to a 152 count indictment involving 38 people. Tvert alleged that the timing of the announcement was politically motivated to keep people from supporting Amendment 44 which would make possession of an ounce or less of pot legal in the state of Colorado.
