FOR DAILY NEWS AND FOR DAHLIA COLUMN, per managing editor Taste of the Nation celebrates 20 years in Denver 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 18, in the gardens of Johnson & Wales University benefiting non-profit organizations that feed the hungry including Food Bank of the Rockies, Operation Frontline, Volunteers of America and the Women’s Bean Project. The food-fest features fine fare, beer and wine from more than 100 restaurants and wineries and entertainment from Freddie & the Soul Shakers. Tickets are $75 for general admission. VIP tickets are $200 and include private cooking demonstrations from some of Denver’s finest chefs and valet parking. General parking will be available at the former Stapleton Airport where free shuttles, provided by Johnson & Wales University, will bring guests to and from the event.
