9/11 story. Actor James Rana (cq), from New Jersey, reads aloud from the New York Times book, "Portraits: 9/11/01: The Collected 'Portraits of Grief' from The New York Times" at the site of the ground zero in Manhattan, New York on Sept 7, 2006, where the World Trade Center once stood. Rana is in a theater group, Naked Angels, who intend to read the short profile of every victim who died on 9/11/01 that is in the book. They expect to read them outloud in front of ground zero until September 11, 2006. Several for their three-hour shift. Behind him are some photographs from the exhibit, "here: remembering 9/11" (cq) hanging on the perimeter fencing at ground zero, while construction of new buildings, including Freedom Tower and a memorial, continues on the other side. The exhibition commemorates 5th anniversary of the attack, and will be up through October, 2006. (ELLEN JASKOL/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) **James Rana (Cq)
