The oldest and youngest brothers of Sylvia Santillan, Jaime Santillan,(cq) 24 (l) and Alfredo Santillan , (cq) 13(r) remember and mourn their sister who was killed Sunday evening in what police believe to be a gang related shooting on September 5, 2006 in Greeley, Colo. Police said Greeley resident Sylvia Santillan, 18, mother of two, was shot in the head at a Island Grove Reginal Park shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday. She was rushed to North Colorado Medical Center where she later died. Four teens are in police custody according to Greeley police spokesman Sgt. Joe Tymkowych. Jorge Zamora, 23 and Carlos Valenzuela,18 are charged with first degree murder and Enrique Ramirez, 20 and Barbara Sue Salinas,18 were arrested as accomplices. A second shooting happened on Monday at about 1 p.m. when a man was walking outside of his apartment and was hit in the upper right arm. He was transported to North Colorado Medical Center. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. There are no suspects in that shooting. Police said they believe the second shooting was in retaliation to the first one.
