He is pleading with the public to be on the lookout for his son in case he hiked out of the area he was last seen, and due to a severe head injury, may not know where he is. 21 year old Lance Hering has been missing after falling 30 - 40 feet down a steep slope before coming to rest. Powers said Hering lost consciousness for about four hours, and after he came to about 4 a.m. Powers left him to go for help. Searchers have not been able to find him.
