(Denver) Denver Police captured carjacking suspect Damon Loe (DOB 04-28-1974), after a police pursuit that began in Northwest Denver and ended in the 1900 Block of Pennsylvania Street.Ê A Denver Police Officer contacted Loe in the 600 Block of West 42nd Ave at approximately 8:40 a.m.Ê Loe was driving a black Volkswagen Passat that had been carjacked in Westminster on May 3, 2004. Loe escaped from the officer and fled the scene on foot to the 4100 block of Fox Street, where he attempted to hide from officers inside a dump truck.Ê A perimeter was established in an attempt to find Loe.Ê Denver K-9 officers responded and located Loe hiding inside the truck.Ê Loe, refusing to comply with commands of the officers on scene, managed to start the dump truck and left the area with Denver officers in pursuit.Ê Loe traveled Southbound on Fox Street, Southbound on I-25, Southbound on Sante Fe Drive to Mississippi Avenue.Ê Pursuing officers were instructed to disengage in the area of Alameda and 6th Avenue due increasing vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Officers were able to track his movements and observed Loe begin to travel Northbound on Southbound I-25.Ê Loe then exited at Park Avenue West where he left the dump truck and unsuccessfully attempted to carjack avehicle.Ê He then approached and successfully carjacked a second vehicle (Silver Honda 2 Door).Ê Loe then traveled to the 1900 Block of Pennsylvania Street where he exited the Silver Honda and ran into the parking garage where he was found and captured shortly thereafter, hiding in a lower level storage facility.
