William L. Neal is one of the three peope on board the propellor-driven Beechcraft 58 small airplane that crashed Saturday, July 24, 2004 in a residential area in Fort Collins, CO killing all three. Mr. Neal received his B.A. from Fort Hays State University in 1968, and his M.A. from Colorado State University in 1972. From 1972 to 1976, Bill served as a City Planner and Director of Personnel for the City of Greeley, Colorado. In 1976, Bill became the Marketing Director for Wheeler Realty Company of Greeley and in 1981, the Managing General Partner of Wheeler Realty Company of Fort Collins. Crawford/Neal Real Estate is the corporate descendant to the Wheeler residential company. Bill is a partner in Wheeler Commercial Property Services, a company specializing in land development and commercial real estate services. Bill has been engaged in the residential and commercial development business since 1976. He has developed in excess of 4,000 residential homesites and multiple retail and office centers in the Northern Colorado market. Bill has served as President and Director of the local Board of Realtors, Chairman of Fort Collins, Inc., and has served as a transportation commissioner and on the Blue Ribbon Panel for growth for the State of Colorado through his appointments from Governor Roy Romer.
