(FT. COLLINS, Colo., July 7, 2004) The cute blonde Labrador Retriever pups are in a litter of three with their mom in one of the holding facilities in the Humane Society kennel. They are a month old, all girls, and the mom is nearby and very cautious. Curiosity with surroundings can be attributed to the pups otherwise never having had space to explore until now. The Larimer Humane Society, 6317 Kyle Ave. is holding and caring for 27 Labrador Retriever adult, juvenile and puppy dogs. They are the remaining animals from an 84 animal residential discovery sometimes called a "puppymill" taken in Saturday July 3, 2004, at the residence in south Larimer County outside Berthoud, CO. The animals can expect to be in residence for at least two weeks before any adoption proceedings can take place. To get on a list for adoption consideration call (970) 226-3647 ext. 140. (cq: all information provided by Ms. Cary Rentola, cell: 970-231-4990) marketing and community events manager for facility. (Photo by STEVEN R. NICKERSON / ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
