An eagle feather rests on the body of Cpl. Brett Lundtrsom during his wake services for at the Little Wound School in Kyle, SD, on January 15, 2006. Lundstrom, who was Lakota, had the feather placed on him the evening before during a traditional naming ceremony, during which he was named "Lone Eagle." In accordance with Lakota Warrior tradition, all warriors receive the eagle feather, one of the highest honors, when they return from war. Photo by TODD HEISLER/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS
